Description
- The Department was established in 1955 and is one of the four departments at the founding of Chung Yuan Christian University.
- The M.A. Program of Applied Physics was established in 1974, while the Ph.D. Program at the Institute of Applied Physics was established in 1992.
- Since 2006, the Department of Physics has started enrolling students for the Physics Program and the Photonics and Materials Science Program.
